Why McPherson is Winnable for an Independent Candidate

The major party vote is falling, and this gives us an incredible chance to elect an independent who truly represents our community. The LNP’s primary vote in McPherson has dropped from 48% in 2019 to 40% in 2024. This follows the same trend we saw in other electorates like Kooyong and Curtin, where independents have won.

Our community has been overlooked by major parties. According to Ann Watson Moore, the Gold Coast has been shortchanged, receiving far less than its fair share of Commonwealth grants.
